Julie Carver - Mastering the SideHustle

  • Willow Glen Community Center 1275 Lincoln Avenue San Jose, CA, 95125 United States (map)

The landscape of publishing is constantly shifting – both for traditional and indie authors.  Publishers come and go, readers’ tastes change, online retailers are constantly changing their terms (hello, Amazon). Each change can have negative impact on the money in your pocket.

There are other ways to bring in more money that have nothing to do with writing more books. With some creative thinking and hard work an author can create more than one income stream. The more streams of income flowing to you, the less affected you will be by the changing publishing landscape.

The challenge is deciding what works best for you.

This presentation will provide attendees with the information they need to make informed decisions about which income streams are best suited for their personality, time available, start up costs, and where they are on their author journey.

Some of the income streams included are: Patreon.com, publishing “wide,” teaching, author support services, and affiliate marketing.
